Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of variable nozzle rings for turbochargers.
This standard applies to variable turbo nozzle rings for centrifugal turbochargers (hereinafter referred to as variable nozzle rings). The centrifugal turbocharger variable turbo housing intake throat section assembly (component) can be referenced for implementation.
This standard does not apply to axial turbochargers.
