Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the cultivation of Tainong 1 mango, including planting areas, site selection, seedling propagation, planting and management, bagging, pest and disease control, and harvesting. This document is applicable to the cultivation of Tainong 1 mango in the arid and semi-arid regions of Yunnan Province. Main technical content: 1. Planting areas: - Optimal area: Elevation below 800 m, with deep soil layers, low compaction, good drainage, proximity to water sources, and pH of 6.5–7.5 for sandy loam, yellow loam, red earth, or red soil. No frost throughout the year. - Suitable area: Elevation between 800 and 1,200 m, with deep soil layers, low compaction, good drainage, and pH of 6.5–7.5 for sandy loam, yellow loam, red earth, or red soil. Frost period <10 days. - Sub-suitable area: Elevation >1,200 m, with deep soil layers, low compaction, good drainage, and pH of 6.5–7.5 for sandy loam, yellow loam, red earth, or red soil.
