Scope: This document specifies the basic requirements, evaluation criteria, and brand mutual recognition for Ruichang yam products applying for the "Jiangxi Green Ecology" certification. This document applies to Ruichang yam (primarily for fresh consumption) applying for the "Jiangxi Green Ecology" evaluation or certification activities. Main technical content: 1. Basic requirements 1.1 Main requirements 1.1.1 Production and operation enterprises shall establish and implement a documented management system based on applicable standards and actual conditions. 1.1.2 Enterprises are encouraged to adopt the GS1 international unified traceability standard and establish a quality traceability system to record key information throughout the entire production process, from cultivation, processing to storage and transportation. 1.1.3 Enterprises should possess certain standardization, quality, and brand awareness, and develop brand cultivation and promotion plans. 1.2 Variety requirements 1.2.1 The cultivated varieties of "Jiangxi Green Ecology" Ruichang yam shall be those recognized by professional departments, such as "Rui Shan Yao" (Dioscorea polystachya), with seed sources from the administrative area of Ruichang City. 1.2.2 Seedlings of yam should be selected with long cylindrical shapes, uniform thickness from top to bottom, conical bottoms, smooth skins, and many rootlets, free from pests and damage marks, with no shriveled bud eyes and hidden buds. 1.3 Planting requirements 1.3.1 The overall environment of the production area shall meet the requirements of NY/T 391, and the cultivation soil should preferably be sandy loam. 1.3.2 The yam cultivation process shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 20014.5 (GAP).
