Scope

This document describes the principles, reagents, instruments and devices, analytical steps, result calculation and presentation, quantitative limits and precision, and test reports for determining the content of ten heavy metal elements (arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), antimony (Sb), and zinc (Zn)) in masks using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers (ICPOES). This document is applicable to the determination of the total content of arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, mercury, nickel, lead, antimony, and zinc in masks. It excludes auxiliary components such as plastics and metals in masks.
