Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, site requirements, fecal collection and treatment, production process flow, usage requirements of bedding materials, quality requirements, and measurement methods for the production of fecal bedding in large-scale dairy farms in Ningxia. This document applies to dairy farms with a scale of 1,000 heads or more. Farms with a scale of less than 1,000 heads may refer to it for implementation. Main technical content: 3. Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document: 3.1 Cow mattress material Materials such as sand, straw, and sawdust placed on cow beds to provide a comfortable environment for cows. 3.2 Pre-treatment of cow feces A processing method that adjusts the water content and carbon-nitrogen ratio of cow feces through mechanical dewatering and the addition of bacteria to improve the fermentation conditions of cow feces. 3.3 Innocuity A process that uses high-temperature and fermentation technologies to meet the hygiene requirements of cow feces. 3.4 Fermentation A process in which cow feces produce continuous high temperatures under the action of microorganisms degrading organic matter, combined with aeration, turning, and other procedures, to achieve the harmless treatment of harmful microorganisms and the reduction of water content. 4. Site requirements 4.1 The layout of manure piles should comply with the provisions of NY/T 682. 4.2 The manure piles should be rainproof, leakproof, and impermeable. Protective measures such as clear signs and fences should be set up. There should be anti-leakage measures and drainage systems, and the groundwater should not be polluted.
