Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grade designations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, storage, packaging, and transportation for wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant steel castings (hereinafter referred to as "castings").
This standard applies to wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant steel castings used in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, power generation, construction, chemical engineering, and machinery, particularly those components prone to wear and corrosion in wet corrosion and abrasive wear conditions. Other types of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant steel castings may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
