Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the grading, inspection, packaging, storage, and transportation of green food walnut kernels. This standard applies to the sale of green food walnut kernels. Main technical content: Alar is located on the northwest edge of the Taklamakan Desert, with abundant solar and thermal resources, long sunshine hours, and large daily temperature differences, providing ideal conditions for the development of forestry and fruit industries. It is known as the "super orchard under the bright sun". At present, Alar has formed the main cultivar of "Wen 185". The walnuts produced in Alar are of high quality and have won multiple honors. In 2007, at the Fifth National Academic Symposium on Progress in Dried Fruit Production and Research, the "Wen 185" walnut sent by Alar was awarded the first prize; the raw fruit of "Wen 185" won the gold medal at the first China Walnut Conference in 2008. In 2013, Alar Third Group was listed by the State Forestry Administration as the first batch of national walnut demonstration bases in China; in 2015, the walnuts of Third Group were awarded the honorary certification of "Agricultural Product Geographical Indication Registered Protection Products". In recent years, the drafting group conducted field surveys and combined relevant scientific research. Based on the obtained data and information, they carefully considered and proposed the quality standard for thin-skinned walnut products in Alar. After the draft was formed, relevant experts were invited to review and provide guidance. After being discussed, modified, and improved by the drafting group, the standard was finalized. This standard integrates scientific research results and effectively fills the gaps in product quality in the walnut industry, providing a practical basis for Alar fruit farmers in the production and sale of walnut kernels.
