Scope

This document specifies the environmental conditions and environmental factor monitoring for the on-site operation reliability test of smart energy meters (hereinafter referred to as "energy meters"), the test facilities and devices, the statistical test plan and test procedures for the on-site operation reliability of energy meters, the evaluation of test results, and test records and reports, etc. This document applies to the on-site operation reliability verification test of newly purchased energy meters before their first commissioning in a louvered test shed or low-voltage energy metering boxes. Note: "Newly purchased energy meters" refer to energy meters purchased by users with a service life of no more than 1 year. Here, the service life of the energy meter refers to the total time since its manufacturing date, including the storage time at the manufacturer's site, the transportation time, and the storage time at the user's site.
