Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and order or contract requirements for potassium fluotitanate used in industry.
This standard applies to potassium fluotitanate produced by the reaction of titanium salts with hydrofluoric acid and potassium salts. It is mainly used as a catalyst for the production of aluminum, titanium, and boron alloys, and for the synthesis of polypropylene.
