Scope
This standard specifies two titration methods for determining the content of carboxyl groups in polyesters—the visual method (Method A) and the photometric method (Method B). When there is a dispute, the visual method shall be used. This standard applies to the determination of the content of carboxyl groups in polyesters produced from terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol as raw materials, as well as intermediates and final products in the production process. Other polyesters may be used for reference.
