Scope

This standard specifies the leakage rate test method for vacuum valves used to control airflow or vacuum pressure in vacuum systems. It is applicable to the leakage rate test of vacuum valves with a gas sealing leakage rate of less than 1×10-5 Pa·m3/s after closing, and also applicable to the leakage rate test of valve bodies. It can be used as a basis for the inspection of vacuum valves. This standard is applicable to the leakage rate test of vacuum valves during their entire working process under specified technical conditions such as allowable operating pressure range, pressure difference, baking temperature, operating temperature, and life cycle. Under these conditions, the test leakage rate of the valves shall be lower than the nominal leakage rate specified by the manufacturer.
