Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of unit-cascaded soft starter devices (hereinafter referred to as devices), system integration and model naming, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to unit-cascaded soft starter devices for three-phase AC motors with a rated input AC voltage of 3 kV to 10 kV and a rated input frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
