Scope

Scope: This document specifies the production conditions, rootstock cultivation, grafting, grafted seedling management, and nursery preparation required for facility-based seedling production of pomaceous fruits. This document applies to facility-based seedling production of pomaceous fruits. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: There are no terms or definitions that need to be defined in this document. 2. Production conditions: 2.1 Environmental conditions: It is recommended to select facilities with flat terrain, good ventilation and sun exposure, convenient irrigation and drainage, and complete supporting facilities for water and electricity. Irrigation water should comply with the requirements of GB 5084. 2.2 Main facilities and equipment: 2.2.1 Germination room: A closed space with insulated walls, equipped with temperature regulation, humidity regulation, light regulation, germination beds, and air circulation systems. 2.2.2 Seedling tents: Seedling tents should be made of glass greenhouses or plastic film greenhouses, equipped with temperature regulation, humidity regulation, light regulation, air circulation, irrigation and fertilization facilities. The seedling tents for rootstock seedlings and grafted seedlings should be controlled independently. 2.2.3 Seedling beds: The seedling beds should be leveled, with a non-woven fabric covering of 0.1 cm to 0.2 cm thick, a bed height of 20 cm to 30 cm, and a width of 100 cm to 120 cm. Walkways should be left between the seedling beds, and drainage ditches should be set up around the edges. 2.2.4 Cell trays: Use 32-hole cell trays with an upper diameter of 6 cm, a lower diameter of 4.6 cm, and a depth of 11 cm, which should comply with the requirements of NY/T 4203. 2.2.5 Seedling bags: Use non-woven fabric seedling bags with a diameter of 16 cm to 21 cm and a height of 18 cm to 24 cm. 3. Rootstock cultivation 3.1 Seedling production time: Seedlings can be produced in the facility throughout the year. 3
