Scope

This document describes the principle, reagents or materials, instrumentation, samples, experimental steps, and data processing for determining gentamicin in feed using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.
This document is applicable to the determination of gentamicin (calculated as the sum of gentamicin C1, gentamicin C1a, gentamicin C2, and gentamicin C2a) in compound feed, concentrated feed, supplementary feed, and premix feed additives.
The detection limit for gentamicin in this document is 0.030 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.100 mg/kg.
