Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and transportation of central-type clamp-type and flange-type butterfly valves (hereinafter referred to as butterfly valves) for marine use, according to the dimensions of flange connections specified in GB/T 2501, CB/T 4196, JIS B 2220, JIS B 2239, and JIS B 2240, and the structural length specified in GB/T 12221 and JIS B 2002. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of central-type butterfly valves used in marine pipelines.
