GB/T 40853.2-2023 High frequency inductive components—Electrical characteristics and measuring methods—Part 2:Rated current of inductors for DC to DC converters
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the measurement method for the DC rated current of small inductors.
Users can compare the rated current in different manufacturers' manuals by using standard rated current measurement methods.
This document is applicable to leaded and surface-mounted inductors with dimensions that comply with IEC 62025-1 and a rated current generally less than 22 A, as well as to some inductors with dimensions that comply with IEC 62025-1 requirements but a rated current exceeding 22 A (with an installation area not exceeding 12 mm×12 mm) for the measurement of their rated current. These inductors are typically used in DC-DC converters on PCB boards in electronic and telecommunications equipment and small-sized switching power supply modules.
This document is only applicable to the measurement of saturation current and temperature rise current under DC current conditions.
