Scope
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of halogen gas leak detectors (hereinafter referred to as leak detectors).
This standard applies to leak detectors used in the chemical and refrigeration industries to detect the amount of halogen gas leaks and trigger alarms. It does not apply to mass spectrometer-type leak detectors.
