Scope

This document specifies the functions and classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-voltage insulation resistance testers (hereinafter referred to as "insulation testers"). It also describes the test methods. This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, and type testing of insulation testers with a rated voltage of more than 1,500 V.
