Scope

This document specifies the selection and preparation of metallographic test samples for carbon steel and low-alloy steel castings used in general engineering and structures, metallographic structure testing, grain size determination, non-metallic inclusion testing, and inspection reports. This document is applicable to metallographic testing of carbon steel and low-alloy steel castings used in general engineering and structures.
