Scope

This standard specifies the test principles, instruments and equipment, reagents, sample preparation, and test reports for the determination of asbestos content in ship coatings.
This standard is applicable to the determination of asbestos content in ship and marine engineering coatings, and also to the determination of asbestos content in coatings for other purposes.
