Scope
Scope: This protocol specifies the harvesting, product grading and quality requirements, as well as the operational technical requirements for harvesting, packaging, storage, unloading from warehouses, and transportation of Ougan oranges. This protocol applies to the post-harvest processing of Ougan oranges in Lishui, Zhejiang Province. Main technical content: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Ougan oranges: A type of wide-peel citrus. The fruit is oval-shaped with a raised stem end. The peel is yellow to orange-yellow, and the peel and flesh are tightly adhered, making it easy to peel off. The flesh is tender with a slight bitterness. 3.2 Floating peel: A condition where a gap separates the peel from the aril membrane. 3.3 Double-cut harvesting method: First, cut slightly above the stem end, then cut flush with the stem end to maintain a flat stem and intact calyx. 3.4 Fruit weight loss rate: The ratio of the difference in quality before and after fruit storage to the quality before storage. 3.5 Pre-storage of fruits: A process to dissipate field heat, evaporate excess moisture from the peel, and promote the healing of some wounds before storage.
