This standard specifies the gas chromatography determination method for alpha-linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, referred to as the same below), docosahexaenoic acid (DPA, referred to as the same below), and docosapentaenoic acid (DHA, referred to as the same below) in health food products.
This standard is applicable to the determination of alpha-linolenic acid, EPA, DPA, and DHA in health food products, but it is not applicable to the determination of alpha-linolenic acid, EPA, DPA, and DHA in health food products with fatty acid esters as the active ingredients.
