Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements, functional and technical performance requirements, testing requirements, marking and labeling requirements, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements, as well as the requirements for complete sets of equipment supplied, and quality assurance for control and protection equipment of flexible DC transmission systems.
This standard applies to control and protection equipment of back-to-back, double-ended, and multi-ended flexible DC transmission systems (hereinafter referred to as "equipment"), and can be used as a basis for the design, manufacture, testing, and acceptance of the equipment.
