Scope
This standard specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, qualitative screening, quantitative analysis, and result calculation for the rapid detection of phthalate plasticizers in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products using infrared spectroscopy. This standard is applicable to the qualitative and quantitative detection of PVC materials with a total phthalate content of not less than 1%.
