Nanzhang County has a total area of 1.5692 million mu of broad-leaved forests with a total volume of 3.98 million cubic meters, as well as 360,000 tons of various crop straws, providing the county with abundant low-cost raw materials for edible fungi production. Most areas of the county are located at an altitude of 400–800 meters, with an average annual temperature of 15.6°C, offering a climatic advantage for the development of the edible fungi industry. The county is home to five major river basins: Duhe River, Zhanghe River, Manhe River, Hehe River, and Qingliang River. Production water should comply with GB 5749. Production environment air quality should meet the requirements of Class I areas in GB 3095.
