Scope
This document specifies the marking positions and marking coding systems for ferrite cores. Markings composed of a combination of letters and numbers are printed or pasted on the cores to reduce the risk of assembly errors, material confusion, and/or confusion between cores with air gaps. To avoid such errors, markings indicating the inductance factor AL value or the length of the air gap are particularly important, and their coding systems are detailed in this document.
