Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the prevention and control of road traffic noise by plants, including plant selection, community configuration, and cultivation management. This standard applies to the reduction of traffic noise in environmentally sensitive areas such as residential areas, schools, hospitals, sanatoriums, government offices, and scientific research institutes located on both sides of urban main roads, highways, national highways, and provincial highways. For the reduction of traffic noise on other types of roads, the construction of forest plant communities can be implemented with reference to this standard.
