Scope
This standard specifies the content, methods, and requirements for the protection of in-service buried natural gas pipeline routes, including the protection of crossings (or parallel alignments) of highways, railways, and water bodies with other buried facilities and existing natural gas pipelines, protection against electromagnetic interference of pipelines, protection of shallow-buried pipelines, and the disposal of abandoned pipelines. This standard applies to the protection of in-service buried natural gas pipeline routes. The protection of other newly built buried natural gas pipelines can be used for reference
