Scope
This procedure is applicable to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of sulfur dioxide gas detectors. Sulfur dioxide gas detectors include sulfur dioxide gas detection and alarm devices and sulfur dioxide gas analyzers.
This procedure is not applicable to sulfur dioxide gas analyzers used to measure concentrations lower than 1 μmol/mol, nor to sulfur dioxide gas analyzers used for monitoring emissions from fixed pollution sources.
