Scope

This standard specifies the design, manufacturing safety requirements, and testing methods for upright pivot-type inter-row mowing devices installed on agricultural, forestry, and horticultural mowers (such as flail-type mowers). This standard provides methods to reduce or eliminate the hazards arising from the use of inter-row mowing devices. This standard also stipulates the type of safety operation information that manufacturers should provide. This standard does not apply to rotary and flail-type mowers specified in EN 745. This standard does not consider environmental factors.
