Scope
This document specifies the test procedures, test equipment, and reliability thresholds for the reliability assessment of pneumatic pressure regulators, as well as the processing methods for test results.
This document is applicable to direct-acting pressure regulators and external pilot-operated pressure regulators, including overflow-type and non-overflow-type pressure regulators.
This document is applicable to the first failure under no maintenance conditions, except for some outliers.
This document is not applicable to pressure regulators with constant relief holes.
Note: The test procedures specified in this document are described in Appendix A.
