Scope

This standard specifies the models, types, basic parameters, and working conditions of mechanical automatic strapping machines, as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage.
This standard applies to mechanical automatic strapping machines (hereinafter referred to as "strapping machines") that use polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) strapping tapes (hereinafter referred to as "strapping tapes") as binding materials, adopt mechanical drive to convey and insert strapping tapes, and use hot-melt splicing as the joint form to automatically complete the bundling of objects continuously or in a single operation.
