Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the content of heavy metals in footwear and footwear components - the determination of the content of nine heavy metals, including arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), and antimony (Sb), using a microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometer (MPAES).
