Scope
This standard applies to low-molecular-weight galactomannan food additives, which are processed from the endosperm slices or gum of guar beans (Cyamops tetragonolobus (L.) Taub), field beans, mung beans, cassia seeds, and locust beans, using one or more enzymes such as galactosidase, hemicellulase, and protease for hydrolysis and purification.
