Scope

This part of GB/T 29023 specifies the concept and process of measuring the particle size distribution of one or more materials dispersed in a liquid by ultrasonic method, covering colloids, dispersions, slurries, and emulsions. The typical particle size analysis range is 10 nm to 3 mm, but particles outside this range can also be measured. The measurable range of the volume concentration of the dispersed phase is from 0.1% to 50% or even higher, depending on the density ratio of the continuous medium and the dispersed substance.
This part is applicable to monitoring the dynamic changes in particle size distribution, including coagulation and flocculation in high-concentration systems.
