Scope

This standard stipulates the basic provisions, inspection content, inspection procedures, and rectification and handling of lightning safety hazards for lightning protection safety inspections. This standard applies to flammable and explosive construction projects and venues such as oil depots, gas depots, ammunition depots, chemical warehouses, fireworks and pyrotechnics, petrochemical plants, etc. It also applies to venues within lightning-prone areas, such as mining areas, tourist attractions, or buildings and facilities that have been put into use and require the separate installation of lightning protection devices. Additionally, it applies to lightning safety inspections for large-scale projects with high lightning risks and no lightning protection standards or specifications, which require special assessments. Other projects or venues may refer to and implement this standard accordingly.
