GB/T 36532-2018 Fibre-reinforced plastics—Thermosetting moulding compounds and prepregs—Determination of cure characteristics
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies two methods for determining the curing characteristics of fiber-reinforced thermoset molding compounds and prepregs. The characteristics to be measured are as follows: -- The heat generated by the exothermic reaction; -- The thermal expansion of the molding compound as the temperature rises; -- The shrinkage caused by the curing reaction. This method is suitable for molding compounds composed of thermoset resins and reinforcing fibers, and is mainly used for unsaturated polyester resin molding compounds. Method 1: A simple method for determining the reaction activity of thermoset molding compounds. This method is only used to determine the reaction characteristics and stability of the molding compound matrix, and stability affects the storage period of the molding compound. Method 2: It can obtain the physical properties of the molding compound under simulated molding conditions, but it requires more complex equipment and longer testing time. The prepared molded specimens can be used for more performance tests.
