Scope

This part of GB/T 40681 provides statistical methods for calculating the performance and capability of process or product characteristics when it is necessary to consider a group of interrelated single variables.
This part is applicable to the process capability and performance estimation of multivariate normal processes in common production processes.
Note: For simplicity, the methods provided in this part are mostly described using a binary normal process as an example.
For the different methods provided, this part does not evaluate the possible applications of each method in different situations. Users can select a more suitable method based on actual circumstances.
