Scope
This standard specifies the methods for energy efficiency testing (including type-approval tests, acceptance tests, and arbitration tests) of steam boilers, hot water boilers, and organic heat carrier boilers with a working pressure of less than 3.8 MPa. This standard applies to steam boilers that burn solid fuels, liquid fuels, or gas fuels manually or mechanically, as well as steam boilers heated by electricity. Boilers that use waste as fuel can be referenced for application. This standard also applies to energy efficiency tests of boilers conducted for other purposes (such as adjusting operating conditions, changing fuels, energy-saving renovations of boiler systems, and assessing the working load of in-use industrial boilers). This standard does not apply to waste heat boilers.
