Scope
This standard provides technical guidance on the energy efficiency of three-phase motors. It is not only applicable to motor manufacturers, OEMs, end users, regulatory authorities, and legislative bodies, but also to other interested parties.
This standard applies to all motors covered by IEC 60034-30, but most of its discussions also apply to cage-type induction motors with an output power exceeding 375 kW.
