GB/T 40777-2021 Requirements for automatic reclosing devices(ARDs) for circuit-breakers,RCBOs and RCCBs for household and similar uses
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, and test methods for circuit breakers, residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs), and residual current operated circuit breakers (RCBOs) for household and similar applications. This document applies to household and similar applications with a rated voltage not exceeding AC 440 V, intended for use with circuit breakers, residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) without overcurrent protection, and residual current operated circuit breakers (RCBOs) for household and similar applications, designed as factory-assembled or site-assembled automatic reclosing devices (ARDs). ARDs are used to reclosing the main protective device (MPD) after it has tripped, in order to restore power supply to the circuit. MPDs may include circuit breakers compliant with IEC 608981 and/or IEC 608982, RCCBs compliant with IEC 610081 and/or IEC 62423, and RCBOs compliant with IEC 610091 and/or IEC 62423. This document includes the following types of ARDs: -- ARDs with evaluation methods that reclosing only when both the expected line current and the expected ground fault current do not exceed specified values; -- ARDs with evaluation methods that reclosing only when the expected line current does not exceed specified values; -- ARDs with evaluation methods that reclosing only when the expected ground fault current does not exceed specified values; -- ARDs that reclosing without any evaluation.
