GB/T 40797-2021 Rubber,vulcanized or thermoplastic—Determination of resistance to abrasion—Driven,vertical abrasive disc method
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for determining the wear resistance of rubber using a vertically driven grinding disc.
The wheel-shaped rubber specimens are perpendicular to the grinding disc and are pressed against each other under a set load. The mass loss due to wear is measured by the sliding generated by setting different side tilt angles, rotational speeds, and certain loads between the wheel-shaped specimens and the grinding disc. The test results are expressed as the mass loss per unit running distance and/or the wear index compared with the reference rubber material.
This document is suitable for comparative tests, quality control, regulatory compliance tests, arbitration tests, and R&D work.
Since the described test device can independently set various wear parameters, such as the side tilt angle, the rotational speed of the grinding disc, and the load, this method can be widely used for wear tests of various rubber products (especially tires).
