Scope

This standard applies to the illuminance test of ophthalmic optical instruments, which include objective lenses, eyepieces, and lighting devices. For other visual medical optical instruments, the illuminance test methods can be implemented according to their applicability.
The illuminance test of ophthalmic optical instruments refers to the illuminance test and/or uniformity test of the light field at the center of the object surface illuminated by the instrument's lighting device.
