Scope

This standard specifies the service objects, service resources, service content and forms, service requirements, service promotion, service supervision and evaluation of library services for visually impaired people.
This standard applies to the reading rooms for the visually impaired in public libraries (including children's libraries) at the provincial, prefectural (municipal) and county (district) levels, as well as to the specialized venues established by disability associations, blind education institutions and other social organizations to provide library services for visually impaired people.
