Scope

This standard specifies the basic anti-interference requirements for public telecommunications network equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, as well as the minimum test levels in a given environment. If there are applicable specialized product (group) standards, these should be prioritized for compliance. This standard applies to all the following types of equipment: -- Telecommunications network equipment, including: switching equipment, transmission equipment, wireless equipment, power supply equipment, servers and storage equipment, monitoring equipment, and control equipment. -- Telecommunications terminal equipment, including: wireless terminal equipment, telephones, fax machines, and user exchanges. -- Interconnecting equipment for telecommunications networks. This standard does not apply to the protection requirements of equipment.
