Scope

This standard applies to variable capacitors, potentiometers, and variable resistors used in electronic devices. Since the size ranges included in IEC 60390 and IEC 60620 are too large and include many different capacitors and resistors for electronic devices, the sizes given in this standard are selected based on these two standards. Therefore, this standard includes the preferred sizes for shaft ends, shaft sleeves, single-hole mounting, sleeve mounting, and shaft-controlled variable capacitors, variable resistors, and potentiometers. If no other sizes are listed in this standard, these sizes can also be selected from the aforementioned standards.
