Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method of the thermoelectric force of platinum for precious metals and their alloy materials within the temperature range of 0°C to 300°C, and the measurement method of the thermoelectric force of copper for precious metals and their alloy materials within the temperature range of 0°C to 200°C. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the thermoelectric force of platinum for precious metals and their alloy materials within the temperature range of 0°C to 300°C; and the measurement of the thermoelectric force of copper for precious metals and their alloy materials within the temperature range of 0°C to 200°C. The measurement of the thermoelectric force of platinum or copper for other types of metals and their alloy materials can also be carried out with reference to this standard.
