Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of the quality of high-throughput whole-genome sequencing data for humans, stipulates the quality requirements, and describes the corresponding evaluation methods.
This document is applicable to the evaluation of the data quality of whole-genome sequencing of human genome DNA samples using high-throughput gene sequencing technology.
This document is not applicable to the sequencing technologies of double-deoxy chain termination method [Sanger sequencing] and single-molecule sequencing, as well as the de novo sequencing of human samples, haplotype sequencing, and the sequencing of human tumor tissue samples. It is also not applicable to the sequencing of human samples containing animals, plants, viruses, bacteria, parasites, etc.
