Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the mercury content in solid samples by electrothermal-chemiluminescence atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of total mercury in solid samples such as daily chemical products, soil, sediment, fertilizers, feed, minerals, and coatings. Food, drugs, and cosmetics can be used as reference for this method. When the sample weighs 20.0 mg, the detection limit of the method is 0.006 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 0.020 mg/kg.
