Scope

This standard specifies the technical specifications for quoting (during the bidding phase) and ordering die-casting molds. The standard sets out the requirements for material procurement, equipment, and the design of die-casting molds (including their surfaces), and stipulates the parameters of specialized equipment, operating methods, and warranty provisions. This standard does not apply to compression molds or injection molds.
